Caroline Lezny is a scriptwriter and storyteller based in London, United Kingdom. She received her MFA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

In 2020 Caroline graduated with degrees in English and Film Television & Theatre from the University of Notre Dame, where she served as the Artistic Director for the university’s only entirely student-run musical theatre production company.

Caroline writes for theatre, film, television, and audio. Theatres including The National Theatre and The Hampstead Theatre have expressed interest in Caroline’s plays; recently her work has been shortlisted for the Theatre503 International Playwriting Prize and longlisted for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. Caroline’s writing has been produced and workshopped by ChewBoy Productions, Platform Production Company, SwitchMCR, the University of Notre Dame, and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Recent directorial credits include Measure for Measure (The Hampstead Players) and A New Brain (Uni. of Notre Dame). Acting credits include Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Gwendolen Fairfax in The Importance of Being Earnest, Queenie in Lippa’s The Wild Party, and Miss Adelaide in Guys & Dolls.

When she isn’t in rehearsal or scribbling in her notebook over a cup of coffee, you can find Caroline baking her own bread or dancing in her apartment with the windows open.
